Birtvisi Fortress (Weekend Tour)
Birtvisi Fortress is located in Kvemo Kartli, in the southern part of Georgia, 55km from Tbilisi.
The unique strangeness of the fortress is that it is built of very big stones naturally lifted from the ground.
The array is so high that nobody could conquer it for many centuries, until the well-known Temur-Leng who gathered special hunters and climbers to take the place after a useless 3 months encircling it.
It also makes very strange and pleasant effect in summertime, when there is a cool in the rocks and canyons of Birtvisi. It is possible to do the tour as a daytrip or to stay in one of local caves or in a tent for one night.
